Debut Album ‘Sparks’ Is Out!
I am proud that my debut album Sparks is now released on all major streaming services!
Sparks collides intricate rhythms, eclectic instrumentation, and an abundance of vocal talent. It’s a culmination of a lifetime of influence drawn from my adoration for the hot energy of vintage Soul and Funk, driving Latin grooves, and all things syncopated.
While rarely leaving the analog musical base formed by Piano, Rhodes or Hammond, the Sparks album reflects my musical freedom to deconstruct drum and sound sequences and rearrange them to forge something new and unexpected.
Each of these songs embraces a colorful sonic world, enhanced in its own way with the distinctive voice of an individual singer, recorded in her or his own town, such as London, Los Angeles or Melbourne, during the pandemics.

Like most songs on the Sparks debut album, Life Is Now embraces an eclectic sonic world with electronic influences, driving beats and the funky slap bass of Gerald Kiesewetter pushing forward. On top of that colorful mix, the remarkable voice of Emmy brands this distinctive tune.

While the music combines seemingly opposing styles, the song is about a divided world, in more aspects than ever. Though I wrote the lyrics many years before the release, the song’s issue is timeless and even intensifying in this decade.
